Regarding the Cara Young Charity

fish4life_medalion

The Cara Young Fish for Life began in 2010 as a fishing tournament to help raise funds for Cook Children’s and Cystic Fibrosis in honor and memory of Cara Young, an amazing young lady who touched many lives. At the young age of 23, Cara lost her battle with cystic fibrosis.

Cara spent many weeks at Cook Children’s during her short life and the care she received was amazing. In order to give something back to the medical center we decided to establish an annual bass fishing tournament. This year, in addition to the fishing tournament there will be a separate event of catered food, a silent auction/wine pull and great music to be held on August 10th, 2016 at the Arlington Board of Realtors.

We would like to ask if you would make a donation to the Cara Young Fish For Life Tournaments, dinner and silent auction events, a  501 (c)(3) public charity. Over 90% of all monies we have received goes directly back to Cook Children’s and the “Cara Cards”. (You may click on the links to be taken to more information)

The bass tournament date is set for September 18th. The weigh-in, kids’ tournament and other festivities will be held at Cabela’s, Fort Worth store location.

Thank you for your consideration. Feel free to contact me should you have any questions and please share this info with your sphere of influence!

Sincerely,

Steve Young                             Cowgirl
