    Galveston meetings

Good day of hearing more about Texas economy in pretty good shape. The real estate center at Tx A&M info was very good. They have great stats on their site & the RECON emails they send out.

I knew a barrell racer that had great stats….well, she had a fast horse!

    Texas Real Estate & YOU

I have promoted http://www.texasrealestate.com several times as a site to get viable, up to date Texas real estate news & issues. The site is being enhanced with new search features & also new Texas property searches! This new product should be out October this year.

There is always a lot in the news regarding national real estate issues & I do like to keep up with these, actually every time I do makes me so thankful to be a Texas Realtor because we really have it pretty good in the Lone Star State! But net net bottom line, when I want the local weather forecast I don't look to see what the weather is in New York.

Same with real estate, keep your focus centered on your state & a good idea to narrow your info down to your local area you live in. Even if you do need info for out of Texas, you'll still want to know your local issues regarding selling & or leasing.

Call or email me or you can respond to this blog!! More to come from the Texas Association of Realtors convention in Galveston.

    TAR convention

More today regarding protecting private property rights, now studying sea bass & martini's…all work & no play makes for very boring real estate!

    Jury duty

Post Script: Got there, got dismissed, didn't even get to go through metal detector!!
I surmise it was a case of bad grease at the local diner & was undoubtedly settled out of court!

Am I really supposed to go to work after this traumatic morning?

    Wow, what a day…

Wonderful rain, cooler temps & my first experience with jury duty in Johnson County since moving to Burleson. Little dissapointed, really thought it might be at the Dairy Twin but alas, its at a place called a justice center!

Well, we don't always get what we think we want…thank goodness.

    Real estate & various oddities

An interesting title but I have found real estate to be a most interesting career. Understandably, I might add, that when people are making what is usually the largest investment of their lives, they don't always act like we as Realtors think they should, or worse…want! Ah, but then I remember that I am to be a good steward of their trust & confidence & hopefully, at that point start seeing things in a whole new perspective, maybe even from the seller or buyer's point of view…scary, but I remind myself, that is the perspective I should have kept in the forefront all along. What a concept in sales & marketing, putting the client & customer first!

Of course this great thought comes while having a glass of wine at D*Vine wine in Burleson. As Gene Autry would say…whoa…they are not even a client, wow, free advertising…& what's up with that???

    On the road again?

Headed to a class to learn newest updates regarding "short sales".

The best update would be to change the name to "long or forever" sales! Maybe…
