I don’t mind getting a “pre-qualification” but you want to be “pre-approved” as this makes you as close as possible to a cash offer as you can get! This is the position you want to be in in this seller’s market or any market. Of course, it’s not a guarantee but it does give your offer a better chance of acceptance. Also, when you consider the monies and time spent on finding a home, money for option fees, inspections, etc/ it just makes good sense to make sure you are on a solid foundation to move forward.
