A tradition of Scouting…

 

 

A tradition of Scouting is the respectful and reverent retirement of American flags that have been well used.  A story of one retirement can be viewed here.  The flag being retired by Troop 453 from Waco was brought from Afghanistan by an Eagle Scout from the troop serving there.  He is holding the field of the flag in the second photo.  Another inspirational retirement will be held on Flag Day, June 14.  Over 200 American flags will be retired by Scouts and Scouters.  Click here to see this flyer for more details.
