ARLINGTON – Lincoln Square is getting a facelift.
Arlington’s city council has promised the new owner, Trademark Property Company, $9 million in grant funding in exchange for investing at least $150 million in center renovations.
The City of Arlington will also contribute $14.75 million from its Innovative Venture Capital Fund for the project.
Built in 1983, the center holds about half a million sf of leasable space.

A new report from Cushman & Wakefield showed North Texas leading the country in warehouse building with more than 70 million sf of warehouse and distribution space under construction midyear.
Most of the new construction is underway in southern Dallas County and in the Alliance Texas area of North Fort Worth. North Texas warehouse development has more than doubled in just the last year, and over 30 local warehouse projects were completed in the second quarter.
With construction costs rising and higher interest rates on loans for building, Cushman & Wakefield officials are predicting that area warehouse building may have peaked.
